Hip Pain or Hip Arthritis?

Are You Experiencing Hip Pain?

Hip Arthritis

hip arthritis

Hip Arthritis or arthritis hips is primarily a type of wear and tear arthritis called Osteoarthritis.  It  is the form of joint arthritis caused by degeneration of the hip joint cartilage and bare bone begins to grind upon bare bone. It is a condition that typically affects people during their midlife years and beyond (50+).

Hip pain symptoms seem to get worse as the condition in general worsens, and is not always linear, as you have good days and not so good days. Particularly when the weather changes radically, and more during the colder weather days. Sufferers tend to “feel it in their bones.” Look at the hip pain symptoms and see if you are currently experiencing any of them:

Symptoms of Hip Arthritis Pain

  • Arthritis joint pain in the hips
  • Stiffness that causes difficulty in walking without pain
  • Walking with a limp or favoring one side
  • Limited range of motion
  • Weakness in the legs
  • Urinary problems

Sore Hips Causes

  • Osteoporosis and weakening of the hip joint socket and cartilage
  • Professional dancers and gymnasts who use repetitive movements of the hips
  • Injuries that cause hip compression, like an automobile accident or a fall where you land on your side or knees
  • There may even be some genetic predisposition to this condition as well

Although you may feel severely debilitated by sore hips there are a lot of natural arthritis remedies that can really help you recover quickly and fully from hip joint pain.

Natural Treatment for Hip Joint Pain

  • Use a back brace to keep your hips in slightly stretched position to take pressure off the hip joint
  • Magnetic therapy and gentle massage of the hip area by a qualified practitioner using aromatic and warming oils
  • Begin incorporating an arthritis diet, and cut back on the items that cause inflammation and pain
  • Include Omega-3 oils (preferably from flax or plant sources, as animal sources are highly acidic)
  • Add warming spices (anti-inflammatory) to your meals if you enjoy them (curry, turmeric, ginger, garlic, cayenne)
  • Drink plenty of fluids (this will help hydrate the joint, and keep it operating smoothly)
  • Alternate between hot and cold packs on the joint.  About 10 minutes each, cycle a few times between hot and cold
  • Take arthritis supplements (glucosamine, Hyaluronic acid, SAM-e, Boswellin)
  • Try some homeopathic cures as well
  • Lower your overall stress level (watch a comedy or even sing around the house, it really does work)

Arthritis Exercise and Postures

  • Water exercise or aerobics (swimming or walking in a pool with lukewarm water)

  • Resistance Training (lifting light to moderate weight) which shows the best exercise programs for every body system, which is usually referred to as a total body workout.  Be sure to warm up and ride a bicycle or cardio equipment before you begin resistance training

  • Posture Training - The Alexander Technique is really great for this.  Proper Posture is very important in getting arthritis pain relief and this is also taught in the Feldenkrais (highly recommended) method and Dorn methods which are similar and can help you never experience a hip, back or joint ache again!
  • Ergonomics – Proper Ergonomic Posture reduces stress on your hips and joints.
  • Yoga, Tai-Chi, Qi-Gong (these combine stretching, strengthening as well as meditation, which will lower your cortisol and blood pressure)

Easy Hip Exercises

Using some simple hip exercises can help you stop a pain attack quickly. Learn to Stretch you hips when you get a flare and stop the pain in its tracks. Click on the following picture for a hip pain relief video available at Amazon:

This will give you some great arthritis help and get you on your road to complete and lasting recovery from Hip Arthritis.  Start where you are at, there is no race. Sometimes the slower the better, because you will not be in a stressful state, adding more pressure to do things quickly.  Go at your own body’s pace and you will be helping others, because they will be asking what it is that you did to recover.

A key to experiencing a full recovery begins with giving your body the nutrition and supplementation it needs to protect your joints from the inside out. For arthritis hips I recommend taking JointKote to protect and rebuild your joint socket.

You can use a capsaicin cream (which you massage into the affected joint are) to bring immediate pain relief to the aching joint, and also draw the joint relief ingredients directly to the joint for repair and inflammation reduction. Click on the JointKote bottle below to begin the healing process and relieve pain, inflammation and swelling now.

Back Pain - Sciatica - Spinal Stenosis? Years of Pain Gone In Just Days!

Back Pain Treatment

Spinal Stenosis or Sciatica?

Back Pain of Spondylosis of the Spine

cervical lumbar spondylosis myelopathy

Spinal Stenosis is an narrowing of the spinal column (stenosis) that may occur in any of the regions of the spine. It is most commonly associated with Cervical Spondylosis, Lumbar Spondylosis and Cervical Myelopathy. It is sometimes referred to as Spondylosis of the spine.

Cervical Spondylosis - Upper Back

Spondylosis is a term meaning degenerative osteoarthritis of the joints between the nerves and the spinal vertebrae. It is sometimes referred to as spondylosis of the spine.  If the condition is more severe, it may cause pressure on nerve endings and cause excruciating pain, paresthesia, or muscle weakness in the limbs.

Cervical Myelopathy Symptoms

Direct pressure on the spinal cord (typically in the cervical or upper part of the spine) may result in myelopathy. The symptoms of Cervical Myelopathy are usually as follows:

  • general weakness,
  • trouble walking in a straight line,
  • the loss of balance,
  • loss of bowel and/or bladder control.

Lumbar Spondylosis - Lower Back

If it is affecting the lower back region, then it is referred to as Lumbar Spondylosis. It has the same basic characteristics as Cervical Spondylosis, just lower in the back area.

Symptoms of Spondylosis

The main spondylosis symptoms are as follows:

  • severe pain in the neck,
  • pain in the shoulders,
  • pain in the arms,
  • pain in the back,
  • pain in the legs,
  • all accompanied by muscle weakness in the affected area

These symptoms are associated with Repetitive Strain Injuries, like working on a computer, or doing some other repetitive task using and overextending the same muscles and joints over time. Ergonomics can play a part in helping reduce the occurrences of spondylosis.

Holistic Spondylosis Treatment

Standard medical treatments involve surgery and pain medications. These may help you temporarily but they seldom will help rid you of this permanently. Fortunately, holistic spondylosis treatment therapies exist that allow you to naturally come back into proper alignment.

Chiropractic care can help you with more range of movement and temporarily ease the pain from spondylosis. Proper exercise, stretching and ergonomic posture play a big role in complete recovery. As do taking some natural healing supplements.

Preventative Measures (Post Recovery – After you recover from a serious back arthritis flare)

Proper Posture is very important in getting arthritis pain relief and this is also taught in the Feldenkrais (highly recommended) method and Dorn methods which are similar and can help you never experience a back ache or joint ache again!
  • Ergonomics – Proper Ergonomic Posture reduces stress on your back and joints.
  • Yoga, Tai-Chi, Qi-Gong (these combine stretching, strengthening as well as meditation, which will lower your cortisol and blood pressure)

Signs and Symptoms of Arthritis

Arthritis Signs and Symptoms

arthritis signs and symptoms

There are many types of arthritis, the most common being

They range from mild to severe and some can strike early in the teen years, but most are more common as we age and probably from poor dietary and exercise habits as well. How can one be sure if they have arthritis? Let's take a look at the signs of arthritis below and see if you or a loved one has any of the most common symptoms of arthritis.

Most Common Signs of Arthritis

There are different types of arthritis. You can look and see if you have any of the most common signs of arthritis. What is common to all types of arthritis are the following symptoms:

  • Pain around the joint
  • Redness or Swelling
  • Stiffness
  • Difficulty in using your hands or even walking
  • General Weakness
  • Fever
  • Unexplained Weight Loss
  • Insomnia
  • Muscle aches and pains
  • Tenderness around joints
  • Difficulty moving the joint through the normal range of motion
  • Muscle weakness
  • Loss of flexibility

Look at the above list and see if you notice any of the above arthritis symptoms, particularly if there are three or more, then you may be suffering from arthritis. Depending on whether this is affecting a particular joint socket (usually a form of Osteoarthritis) or your whole body (typically a form of Rheumatoid Arthritis) then you could narrow down the particular type that is frustrating you and begin a natural strategy to obtain complete and lasting relief from it.  It is not only possible but probable that you can move into a productive, pain free existence, free from arthritis pain and stiffness.

Common symptoms of arthritis are pain, inflammation and stiffness in particular joints. For Rheumatoid Arthritis symptoms, Spondylitis symptoms, Gout symptoms, and ankylosing spondylitis symptoms this is most commonly noticed upon arising in the morning. Osteoarthritis Symptoms are usually noticed later in the day, and some stiffness can be alleviated by simply moving the joint through a smooth range of motion. There may also be some restrictive movement of the affected joints along with some swelling and redness over the joints in many cases.

The affected joins can become tender to the touch and should be handled with care until you begin a course of treatment. The specific symptoms again will depend upon what type of arthritis you're actually suffering from although the vast majority of types of arthritis all include problems created by the pain, inflammation and swelling of joints.

It is wise to get a proper medical diagnosis, and once you do, then you can begin a path to recovery and we can help!  There are plenty of arthritis remedies that can give you lasting and permanent relief.  The quickest way to complete relief begins with an understanding of what type of arthritis is affecting you, and then discovering the exact steps that would benefit you the most.

A great place to start is the all in one guide to curing your arthritis: Ultimate Arthritis Cure. It will explain in detail how you get from your particular type of arthritis into having No Arthritis Symptoms and No Arthritis Pain quickly.  Click on the Ultimate Arthritis Cure book below and begin seeing measurable results within a week!

Glucosamine, Chondroitin and MSM - Do They Really Work for Arthritis?

Glucosamine Chondroitin MSM - Do They Work?

joint kote glucosamine sulfate joint pain relief

If you or a loved one has arthritis you've probably heard about Glucosamine Chondroitin MSM. They are the most common supplements purported to help rebuild joints and provide pain relief. They are much safer than the prescription medication that usually begin with a "Z" or end in "ex." But does glucosamine chondroitin msm actually help rebuild joints or provide any effective pain relief?

Glucosamine Sulfate (Sulphate)

Glucosamine Sulfate (sometimes called glucosamien sulphate) is a natural supplement that provides your body the raw materials to make joint cartilage. Glucosamine is a safe supplement, unlike prescription medications that have serious side effects and in the end actually harm your body and Joints! There are conflicting studies on the effectiveness of glucosamine, although from personal experience it does take at least 6 weeks for a noticeable improvement.

Glucosamine for Joint Pain Relief

Glucosamine for joint pain relief. Glucosamine Sulfate  not only helps give your body the raw materials to rebuild your joints but it also does provide mild pain relief. This does take some time with glucosamine by itself for joint pain relief, but if you stick with it, you will get some results. The good news is that you can combine it with other supplements that work synergistically (work even better together than separate). Let's look at the counterpart to glucosamine- chondroitin.

Does Glucosamine Have Any Side Effects?

Glucosamine side effects? Glucosamine Sulfate has no side effects and safe at almost any dosage. It is still wise to use it in a balanced formula as it works best as such. Your body will flush any glucosamine that it does not use.

Recommended Glucosamine Dosage

Glucosamine dosage: It is best to take about 500-1,000mg 2 to 3 times per day while rebuilding your joints and to reduce arthritis joint pain. Take it with your daily meals and it will be absorbed better.

Chondroitin Sulfate (Sulphate)

Chondroitin Sulfate is a negatively charged molecule that acts within the joint socket and is naturally attracted to joint surfaces. Chondroitin is a little more expensive than glucosamine, and does help rebuild the cartilage in the joints but not by itself! Glucosamine and Chrondroitin work best together. Chrondroitin really needs to be combined with glucosamine to have its effectiveness. It is a little more expensive than glucosamine, so it usually has a lower dosage when combined with it.

Does Chondroitin Have Any Side Effects?

Chondroitin side effects: Sulfate has no side effects and is pretty safe at any dosage. What your body does not use it will flush. That said proper balance is still suggested.

Glucosamine, Chondrotin Sulfate & MSM

Glucosamine Chondroitin Sulfate and MSM work by far the best in combination. Vitamin C also helps Chrondroitin MSM work even more effectively. And I do take the combination after I perform a heavy workout or am on my feet all day. I like to have all the advantages in living a quality of life, even in my later years. Mobility and presence of mind are very important to me.

Joint Kote provides all of the ingredients in an easy to use formula. This is by far the best all-in-one arthritis pain relief formula. It provides all the ingredients in the proper ratios and includes the MSM and Vitamin C that is so important. Even Cosamin, which is a really great arthritis product, misses out on this. You can add Vitamin C to Cosamin and it will be great. Joint Kote already has it though.

Decalcification

The main challenge with arthritis is to reduce the calcium deposits in your joints! This is what is actually causing the arthritis and inflammation not to mention the pain and immobility. Calcium does not bend, it only breaks. It is an excretion of parasitic organisms (bacteria, fungii, viruses, etc) and causes not only pain but inflammation and leads to other diseases.

I did not mention adding extra calcium to help your joints or bones? We have an overabundance of "junk" calcium, from supplements to added dead calcium to our food products. Ever look at an orange juice carton? Yes, added calcium.

Do skip on these things as well as calcium supplements in general. Get your calcium from the greens in food, living calcium. The dead calcium, like in coral calcium and tablets, will end up in your joints, arteries, lungs, organs and even your brain.

Magnesium is the exact opposite, it will make your bones stronger and liquefy the bad calcium right out of your body. You can find out more about decalcification and it's importance on dissolving the calcium and the arthritis right out of your whole body, including your joints, on the Arthritis Treatment page.

Juvenile Rheumatoid Idiopathic Arthritis - Natural Relief for Your Children!

Is a Sibling Suffering From Juvenile Rheumatoid Idiopathic Arthritis?

Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis

Juvenile Arthritis (JA) is an auto-immune disorder occurring in children aged sixteen and under.  The children affected by JA experience pain, stiffness and swelling in one or more joints. The white blood cells in their body cannot differentiate between their body’s own healthy cells and act like harmful invaders instead of cell protectors.

Because the immune system is so active it releases chemicals in the process that may damage healthy tissues.  This causes severe pain and inflammation.  The person suffering from JA will more than likely not want to participate in any type of activity during attacks, although movement and hydration (water and exercise or activity can actually be a great help to those suffering from Juvenile Arthritis.)

Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis

Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, Juvenile Rheumatoid or Juvenile Dermatomyositis)  In the case of JA (like Rheumatoid Arthritis or RA) it's the joints that the most affected areas. It may target other areas in the body like the heart, the lungs and the eyes as well. It can be a painful, debilitating and even crippling disease.

It can affect certain joints very quickly and cause permanent damage if not treated quickly. Often the children affected by the disease will carry the disease in their adulthood as well.

The most common symptoms of JA are:

  • Swollen and enlarged joints
  • Neck, Hip or Knee stiffness
  • Sudden appearance and disappearance of rashes
  • High fevers that rise during evening and suddenly disappear again
  • Soreness in many joints

Diet for Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis

  • Limit Simple Sugars and refined foods as they lead to inflammation
  • Limit starchy vegetables like potatoes and carrots until you get complete relief
  • Eat as many green salads and vegetables as you can
  • Add almonds and walnuts to your diet
  • Eat pineapple, papaya and berries regularly
  • Take natural anti-inflammatories like turmeric, ginger, boswellia and cayenne
  • Add SuperFoods to your diet, particularly dark chocolate (high cacao %), wheat-grass.

A Holistic Treatment for Juvenile Arthritis

Suffering from Spinal Stenosis and Spondylosis?

Suffering from Spinal Stenosis and Spondylosis?

cervical lumbar spondylosis myelopathy

Spinal Stenosis is an unnatural narrowing of the spinal column (stenosis) that may occur in any of the regions of the spine. It is most commonly associated with Cervical Spondylosis, Lumbar Spondylosis and Cervical Myelopathy. It is sometimes referred to as Spondylosis of the spine.

Cervical Spondylosis

Spondylosis is a general term meaning degenerative arthritis or  osteoarthritis of the joints between the nerves and the spinal vertebrae. It is sometimes referred to as spondylosis of the spine.  If the condition is more severe, it may cause pressure on nerve endings and cause excruciating pain, paresthesia, or muscle weakness in the limbs.

Excessive direct pressure on the spinal cord (typically in the cervical or upper part of the spine) may result in myelopathy. The symptoms of Cervical Myelopathy are usually as follows:

  • general weakness,
  • trouble walking in a straight line,
  • the loss of balance,
  • loss of bowel and/or bladder control.

Lumbar Spondylosis

If the spondylosis is affecting the lower back region, then it is referred to as Lumbar Spondylosis. It has the same basic characteristics as Cervical Spondylosis, just lower in the back area.

Symptoms of Spondylosis

The main Spondylosis Symptoms are as follows:

  • severe pain in the neck,
  • pain in the shoulders,
  • pain in the arms,
  • pain in the back,
  • pain in the legs,
  • all accompanied by muscle weakness in the affected area

These symptoms are usually associated with Repetitive Strain Injuries, like working on a computer, or doing some other repetitive task using and overextending the same muscles and joints over time. Ergonomics can play a part in helping reduce the occurrences of spondylosis symptoms.

Discover The Holistic Treatment for Ankylosing Spondylitis Symptoms

Get Relief from Ankylosing Spondylitis!

hla b27 in spine

Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) is pronounced “ANK-ki-low-sing spon-di-LIE-tis” and it is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects primarily the sacroiliac joints (where the bottom area of the spine attaches to the pelvis), spine, and hip joints. Ankylosing is a term meaning stiff or rigid and spondylitis means inflammation of the spine.  It is a form of autoimmune inflammatory arthritis that typically appears slowly and gradually.

HLA B27 - The Gene Factor

The cause of AS is not currently known, although much research is being performed to find the exact cause.  It is most common in men, particularly young adults, and less common among women.  It appears to be an inherited condition as about 96 percent of the people who have AS carry the HLA B27 gene.  Not everyone with that gene expression will develop Ankylosis Spondylitis, but there is a higher propensity to be a likely candidate and even pass it on to their children.  The condition is slow to show and slow to progress, but it can fuse your vertebrae together if it does get really advanced.

However, it can be successfully controlled and even reversed if the person is willing to modify their diet (particularly their intake of simple sugars and starchy carbohydrates) and make exercise a standard part of their daily routine. Anti-Inflammatory medications are usually prescribed by medical doctors, and may be necessary for short-term pain and inflammation relief, but they should not become the staple of your recovery program. Look at the spondylitis symotoms below to see if you have any of the symptoms of AS:

Symptoms of Ankylosing Spondylitis

  • Lower-back pain that is commonly worse at night, in the morning, or after periods of inactivity
  • Limited range of motion and lower back stiffness
  • Stiffness and pain in the hips
  • Limited expansion of the chest
  • Limited Range of motion, most specifically in the hips and spine
  • Joint swelling and pain in the knees, ankles and shoulders
  • Neck Pain, elbow and heel pain
  • Chronic fatigue or general weakness
  • Loss of appetite or weight loss
  • Eye inflammation (less common)

If you have any of these ankylosing spondylitis symptoms, it may be a good idea to see your doctor and get a proper diagnosis. Once you find out for sure, you can begin your treatment program and be on the road to complete recovery.  The sooner you find out, the sooner you can get better, and the less the AS can progress.

Standard Medicine (Your local Doctor or Hospital) has no cure for AS. Chiropractic care can provide some help in movement and pain recovery, but to free yourself from AS you need to take a holistic approach. Holistic (meaning treating the whole person) therapies can help your body restore it’s natural healthy state and improve your life in every area!

Fortunately, You can actually overcome this condition if you follow a holistic treatment path.

Treatment for Ankylosing Spondylitis

There are a few things you can do to get complete and lasting relief.  If you are fully committed to getting better, you can most assuredly get relief by using the holistic ankylosing spondylitis treatment. First you need to stop any infections from happening in your body as this may an underlying cause of AS and autoimmune arthritis.

After that you need to keep your whole body in a more alkaline state and reduce your dietary acid intake. Then you need to rebuild and nourish your spinal joints. Finally you might want to get some natural pain relief until you no longer have this condition. Follow the simple spondylitis treatment below and prevent AS and autoimmune arthritis from attacking you ever again:

Septic Arthritis and Septic Shock Natural Treatment

Natural Relief From your Septic Arthritis Without Dangerous Injections or Medications

Septic Arthritis?

septic shock treatment

Septic Arthritis (SA) is a sometimes lethal form of arthritis where a joint gets infected by either bacteria, viruses, fungi or parasites, causing symptoms of severe arthritis. Typically, septic arthritis affects a single large joint, such as the knee or hip arthritis, but it is possible for several joints to be infected as well. People with artificial joints are at the highest risk to get SA, but it can happen to people with natural joints as well. Septic arthritis is considered a medical emergency. If untreated, it may destroy the joint in a period of days. The infection may also spread to other parts of the body.

Septic Shock and Septic Arthritis

Septic arthritis can quickly cause septic shock, which can be fatal. You should immediately call 911 if you or someone is experiencing the symptoms of septic shock or septic arthritis. You can still help prevent future attacks if you take some simple precautions which I detail in the treatment section below.

Septic Arthritis Causes:

The septic infection can originate anywhere in the body. The infection may also begin as the result of an open wound, surgery, or an injection with a dirty needle. Whatever the source of infection, septic arthritis occurs when the infection travels through the bloodstream and deposits itself into the joint.

Septic Arthritis Symptoms:

  • fever or high body temperature
  • shivering and the chills
  • severe pain in the affected joint
  • swelling of the affected joint
  • heat around the affected joint
  • fatigue and general weakness
  • nausea and vomiting

Treatment for Septic Arthritis

Mainstream medicine uses antibiotics and pain killers to get you though the attack. They may even hydrate your joints to prevent them from drying out.  This is for emergency treatment to get your health stabilized.  After that you will want to prevent it from happening again using natural therpies.
