If you are going through smoking withdrawal - Stop!
You first need to ease your body off the nicotine that has your brain and nervous system in lock down. Electronic Cigarettes really help because they allow you to slowly cut back on the nicotine that your body currently NEEDS until you can walk away for good. This can and will happen if you play your cards right. Here are some steps that you can immediately take to ease the withdrawal symptoms from nicotine, and wire your brain to reach for it's new alternative. One that empowers you instead.
- Use an Electric Cigarette for 1-2 months, slowly easing off by the day
- Start chewing gum, eating seeds, beef jerky or even chew on minted toothpicks
- Begin to walk, jog or run (this will help you WANT to kick the habit for good)
- Take a multivitamin on a daily basis
- Eat the best food that you can (you are going to have more money now)
- Hang out with other healthy and active people (non-smokers if you can)
- Tell others that you are quitting (they can keep you accountable)
I recommend electronic cigarettes over gum or patches, because it mimics the same brain and nervous system activity that smoking a real cigarette does. Join a gym and look at the other hot and healthy people, this will definately keep you focused on your goal and the daily journey. Make it an exciting one!
